Bharo

भारो शब्द नेपाल मण्डलमा सर्व प्रथम एघारौं शताब्दीको सुरुतिर लिच्छवी कालमा प्रयोगमा आएको देखिन्छ। गा-सु भारोले भारो थर सन् १०२२ मा पहिलो पल्ट प्रयोग गरेको देखिन्छ। कुलीन व्यक्तिहरूलाई दिइने यो सबै भन्दा उच्च उपाधि थियो। "भारो" उपाधिलाई "भारोका" वा "भाल्लोका" पनि भनिन्थ्यो। भारो छथरिया श्रेष्ठ भित्र पर्दछ।

The term 'Bharo' appears to have first been used in the Nepal Mandala during the early 11th century, in the Licchavi period. Ga-Su Bharo seems to have used the 'Bharo' title for the first time in the year 1022 AD. This was the highest title conferred upon noble individuals. The title 'Bharo' was also referred to as 'Bharoka' or 'Bhalloka'. Bharo belongs to the Chathariya Shrestha group.
