बासी/बासीजु छ थरिया श्रेष्ठ भित्र पर्दछ। बासी भन्नाले नेपाल भाषामा पाँचवटा टाउको भएको नागलाई जनाउँदछ।  यस थर मल्लकालको दरबारिया प्रशासनिक संरचनासँग सम्बन्धित थियो। हाल यो थरका मानिसहरूले कृषि पेसा अपनाएका छन्।
