नापित या नौ नेवार समुदायका परम्परागत नाइँ र पेडिक्युरिस्ट हुन्। उनीहरू पानी नचल्ने भनिएका समूह बाहेकका सबै नेवारहरूको विभिन्न पूजा कर्म र जन्म देखि मृत्युसम्मका संस्कारहरूको लागि शुद्धीकरण गर्न कपाल र नङ काट्ने काम गर्छन्।

उनीहरू परम्परागत फिजियोथेरापिस्टको रूपमा पनि कार्य गर्छन्। हात खुट्टा मर्केमा उपचार गर्ने र औषधीको लेपहरू लगाइ दिने काम गर्छन्।

Napit/Nau

Napit, or Nau in the Newar community, are traditional barber and pedicurists. They cut hair and nails to purify individuals for various rituals and ceremonies, from birth to death, for all Newars except those considered "impure" or "untouchable" by traditional beliefs.

They also work as traditional physiotherapists, treating sprains and applying medicinal pastes for recovery.
